The Ahipara Approach: How We Plan a Trip

18 October 2024·6 min read

From the first call to the last airport transfer, here's exactly what happens when you travel with Ahipara, and what makes the process different from booking with anyone else.

The first conversation is never about logistics. It's about you — what you love, what you've done before, what you're looking for, and what matters most.

From that conversation, we begin designing. Not from a template library, but from scratch. Every itinerary we produce is written for one group of people for one specific set of dates.

We typically deliver a first proposal within five to seven days. It includes a day-by-day structure, specific accommodation with detailed descriptions, experiences and their rationale, and a pricing breakdown.

The revision process is where the real design happens. Most clients make two to four rounds of changes. Swap this lodge for that one. Add a day in Queenstown. Remove the formal dinner and replace it with something more private.

On the day of travel, we send a comprehensive final document: every confirmation number, every contact, every contingency. Our WhatsApp is open for the entire duration of the trip.

Our 8.5% management fee covers our work from the first call to the final airport transfer, and it is set out in writing before you commit.
