The Experience

New Zealand's topography lends itself to some world class courses, with more being developed at the moment. We also have access to pros as well as some very exclusive little courses and holes in unusual places.

Tara Iti
Chapter I

Tara Iti

Mangawhai Coast

The most exclusive links in the country

Tara Iti is, by design, almost impossible to play. A private members' club carved into the dunes of the Mangawhai coast, it was built by Tom Doak to look as though the land had always been a golf course: minimal shaping, fescue and spinifex left to move in the wind, greens that seem to grow straight out of the sand.

Since opening, it has been ranked among the finest courses built anywhere this century — a pure test of links golf, where the wind decides as much as the swing.

We have occasionally enabled our clients to play here, although strict rules at the moment require physical accompaniment of a current member. It is the rarest tee time in New Zealand golf.

North & South

The same dunes, finally open to play

Just along the same stretch of coast, Te Arai Links gives golfers what Tara Iti keeps private: two courses built into the identical sweep of dune land, the North by Tom Doak, the South by Bill Coore and Doak together.

Both play firm and fast over genuine sand-based linksland, framed by native grasses with the Pacific in view on nearly every hole. Within a few years of opening, both were ranked among the best new courses in the world.

We pair a round here with a stay at the lodge above the dunes — golf and coastline, inseparable.

Chapter III

Cape Kidnappers

Hawke's Bay

One of New Zealand's great clifftop courses

Cape Kidnappers is one of the two original courses Julian Robertson built in New Zealand (the other is Kauri Cliffs), and both come with one of the country's great lodges.

It has some of the finest clifftop holes anywhere, in a region famous for its wine, so a visit here is no hardship.

The lodge's extensive grounds allow for a private picnic on the beach in summer.

“Each journey is crafted uniquely, connecting you with New Zealand through special people, places and activities.”

Beyond The Round

Golf, woven
into more

A golfing journey through New Zealand is rarely only about golf. Between the great courses lie helicopters, wine country, wild coast and the warmth of people who become friends.

We weave the fairways into a wider story, one shaped entirely around what you and your companions most enjoy.

The course is the centrepiece. The journey is the masterpiece.
